You Be the Judge

Let’s have some fun and “be the judge” of the four designs from a previous CT Flower Show. Have you ever attended a flower show and wondered, “Why did the judges choose that rather than this as first place”? If so, here’s your chance to “Be the Judge.” Just rank the designs below Blue (First Place), Red (Second Place), Yellow (Third Place) or White (Honorable Mention) and submit your decisions.  Keep reading for the current competition…

At the 2019 CT Flower Show, this design won 2nd Place 90+ in Division II, Section C,  Class 9 “Yappy Hour.”

At the 2019 CT Flower Show, this design was the Winner of the National Garden Club’s Table Artistry Award and 1st Place in Division II, Section C, Class 9 “Yappy Hour.”

In 2018, this design was the First Place winner in Division II, Section C, Class 7, Up Scale category.

In 2018, this design received an Honorable Mention in Division II, Section C, Class 7, Up Scale category.


The current competition features designs entered the 2019 Flower Show design competition entitled La Ville Lumière – City of Light.  Don’t forget to check back again in early December for the results.  Remember, you be the judge!


My Design Judging

Section F - LES ARTS - Eligible for Designer’s Choice Award Class 16. "Printemps"- A Design inspired by the Symphonic Suite, "Printemps", by Claude Debussy. Staged on a black 12" square column x 43"H with an 18" square black top. Claude Debussy was seen, during his lifetime and afterwards, as the first Impressionist composer, although he vigorously rejected the term Judging begins November 21, 2021
