Dr Susanna Kerio, Asst Scientist II, Dept of Forestry & Horticulture. The talk will present on the value and importance of healthy urban tree canopy for healthy cities, why trees need sugar, how stress affects carbohydrate metabolism in trees, and discusses the potential of using non-structural carbohydrates to detect stress and quantify health in urban trees.
