A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park ranger will speak about the history of Hop Brook Lake and Dam. The park is a recreation area, but also serves as a flood control facility. The land is managed not only for recreation, but also for the benefit of forest, water and wildlife resources. We will hear about different habitats that support many types of plants and animals.
