The Buzz About Honey Bees: North Haven Garden Club

North Haven Garden Club presents Paula Wolf who serves as Connecticut’s State Apiarist. Her work helps support honey bee health across the state while educating beekeepers and the public about the biology, behavior, and importance of honey bees.

In this talk, we’ll explore the important role honey bees play in pollination and food production. Honey bees are essential to the reproduction of many plants and crops, helping to pollinate one-third of the food we eat.  We’ll look at how these incredible insects produce honey, working together in a highly organized colony to gather nectar and turn it into the sweet treat we love.

Refreshments will be served after the program.

Guests: $5 donation.
