A Redding tradition, the RGC’s Spring Plant Sale is the club’s major fundraising project. Held the Saturday before Mother’s Day on the grounds of the Historical Society at Lonetown Farm, shoppers can find a wide array of annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs at excellent prices. One of the biggest attractions is the selection of plants donated from our members’ gardens, many of which are deer resistant. Master Gardeners are on hand to answer gardening questions. We also have a popular garden-themed tag sale, raffle prizes, a potting station, and hanging baskets and other garden gifts just in time for Mother’s Day!
The Spring Plant Sale is a Community Event, showcasing Redding’s fabulous non-profit groups such as the Norwalk River Valley Trail Association, Redding Land Trust, Neighbors and Newcomers, and New Pond Farm.
