“Protecting our Pollinators Bees and Butterflies,” Catherine Wolko – The Watertown Garden Club

Catherine Wolko is a second-generation Beekeeper and owner of The Humble Bee Honey company and The Hive @ The Pin, a Farm Store and Honey House located in Oakville, CT. She is a listed speaker for the Federated Garden Clubs in CT, a Member of the Back Yard Beekeepers Association, The American Beekeeping Federation and a proud member of The Connecticut Farm Bureau. She is an advocator for the farming community and beekeepers,  volunteers at a community food bank and is also a Watertown Lions Club member. She has spoken at libraries, churches, schools, symposiums and land trusts throughout the State of Connecticut. Her father was an avid gardener and became a beekeeper by chance, by answering an advertisement for free bees. Her gift for gab and love for the outdoors and honey bees was her Dad’s gift to her and to everyone she has met.
