Conservationist visionary Doug Tallamy will talk on his newest book, “Nature’s Best Hope: A New Approach to Conservation that Starts in Your Back Yard”
“Nature’s Best Hope” speaks to Tallamy’s vision for grassroots, homegrown approaches to conservation. Tallamy advocates to homeowners everywhere that they turn their properties into conservation corridors, providing habitat for wildlife. Not only will the audience come away with specific suggestions to incorporate into their yards, but a sense that individual action locally can make a difference for the global biodiversity crisis. Elm Street Bookstore will have copies of “Nature’s Best Hope” available for purchase and a book signing will follow the program.
This program is cosponsored by the New Canaan Pollinator Pathway Partners – New Canaan Garden Club, New Canaan Land Trust, New Canaan Library, Grace Farms Foundation, The Glass House, Town of New Canaan Public Works, The New Canaan Beautification League, Planet New Canaan, Norwalk River Watershed Association, and New Canaan Nature Center.
