The Evergreen Country Gardeners of Glastonbury will feature “Native Plants for Your Connecticut Garden” by Pamm Cooper, UConn Home and Garden Center, at their upcoming meeting. The virtual Zoom presentation will include how to select and grow native plants in appropriate environments, without disturbing them in their natural locations. She will emphasize those that support native pollinators. According to Ms. Cooper, as more and more open space disappears, our own landscapes may become refuges for the biodiversity that was once in that landscape, especially by including native plants that support fauna. Ms. Cooper teaches entomology and turf portions of the CT Master Gardener Program and serves as the Center’s photographer.
The public is invited to view the Zoom presentation, which will start at 6:45 p.m., with the log in time at 6:30 p.m. Log in details may be requested visiting https://
