CT Horticultural Society is co -sponsoring a free Virtual Lecture with the Avon Public Library with Doug Tallamy on Tues, Oct 24th at 7:00.

The concept for Homegrown National Park: a national challenge to create diverse ecosystems in our yards, communities, and surrounding lands by reducing lawns, planting native, and removing invasives.

The speaker is Doug  Tallamy, professor in Dept of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware.  He has authored 111 research publications and taught insect-related courses for 42 years.
