The Hardy Plant Society of New England, Connecticut Chapter celebrates the holidays with a party at the Academy and a Zoom presentation, shown both at the get-together and available to view at home. Mark Akimoff  will present a talk entitled  “Alpines of New Zealand: from South Island Alps to North Island volcanic peaks”. Escape the short dark days of the northern hemisphere to spend time in the long days of the southern; this December adventure will take us from the Southern Alps on the South Island, to the Volcanic peaks of the North Island.
