‘Gardening Under the Stars: Saving Our Nocturnal Polinators & Our Health’ – Kensington Garden Club
April 16 • 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
FREE
After the sun sets, many important pollinating insects begin their night shift. A growing body of research suggests that the glow of uncontrolled outdoor lighting is causing serious harm to these nocturnal insects, migrating birds and other wildlife as well as our own health. Margery Winters, a naturalist and instructor at Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton, will educate us about the impacts of outdoor lighting and how we can reduce light pollution around our homes.
Open to the public.
