Evergreen Country Gardeners garden club, will host Black Bears in Connecticut, a virtual presentation by Paul Colburn, a certified Master Wildlife Conservationist. The natural history of black bears in Connecticut with an overview of black bear habitat, diet, behavior, and reproduction will be presented. Colburn will offer practical recommendations for optimal co-existing with the growing black bear population in the state and will also discuss current research efforts in this area. He is a 2015 graduate of the Master Wildlife Conservationist Program of the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and also a graduate of Wesleyan University. An avid outdoorsman, he speaks frequently across the state about black bears.
